Just gonna copy/paste the first paragraph in the entire series:'Currently it was dawn, and the villagers were congregated at the village gate to see off a young man of fifteen or sixteen years of age. He seemed thin and weak, but had a healthy, fair complexion, and an overall charming appearance.
He wore an ordinary green robe that had apparently been washed so many times it was nearly worn through. Something about the way he was dressed, plus the innocent look in his eyes, made him seem exceptionally quick-witted.' If you wanna read something with a lotta content, endless power creep, but absolutely no tension since the MC is just the best at everything. Then I recommend the Blue Pheonix Series by Tinalynge! It's nearly singular redeaming quality is that it's easy to read and it has 8 books between 400-800 pages long.
Prepare yourself for a thrilling ride filled with Deus Ex Machina moments, winning because he's the chosen one, and every living creature without a dick being helplessly attracted to him just forcing him to create a harem, poor helpless MC.But all that being said, it's interesting if for no other reason than the characters have interesting powers and it's fun to see what new OP thing the MC will develope next. I just bought the series and did some quick sampling. At least the portion I read was disappointingly not edited well. Still had the issue that occurred dozens (hundreds?) of times in the online version with a trailing quotation mark at the end of a paragraph where no one is speaking. Also still has the bizarre stylistic choice of putting sound effects in quotes, 'Bang!'
As if someone is saying the words rather than just the sounds happening. Also, there's still about 10,000% too much laughing in the dialog.' Oh look, my right leg has been cut off,' Linley laughed.(.Not an actual quote)But I guess that was the way it was written and it'd be too big a change to alter it.
It's still bizarre just how much dialog is said while laughing. In the end though, that's all relatively minor stuff. It's still a great story and I was happy to support them by buying the series. Overall I'd say it's quite comparable just in terms of overall story quality. It's hard to say which I enjoyed more because ISStH was the first Chinese novel I read and it kind of blew me away at the time.It still has plenty of my pet peeve, which is absurd times/distances. Like continents that are so large that a trip by air to cross the continent where you're flying a couple of hundred miles per hour (at least) takes you decades. There's a contest that happens regularly.
Once every TRILLION YEARS.But of course ISStH has those insanely gigantic battleships where it'd take you a week to walk from one end to the other. I have no idea how they handled turns in the river given that they were about 120 miles long.I'm coming to believe that Chinese web novelists weren't great math students back when they were in school.Anyway, nitpicking aside, it's a very well crafted story and it has a super satisfying ending too.I think I'd rank A Will Eternal as my favorite Chinese web novel, with Coiling Dragon and I Shall Seal the Heavens basically tied for second place.

My Anime List: N/ALinley is a young noble of a declining, once-powerful clan which once dominated the world. He has large aspirations and wants to save his clan.
Linley's journey begins with an accident when he discovers a ring. He took a liking to this ring, which had a dragon carved coiling around it. Upon being injured during a battle between two powerful fighters he discovers that his ring is not what he thought it was and possesses powers beyond his imagination.
